Porsche 911 Turbo (996) MY2001 assolutamente unica. Si tratta infatti di un esemplare unico, ordinato in fabbrica dal pilota ufficiale Porsche Paul-Ernst Strähle nel colore speciale “Gelb Orange”, in omaggio alla Porsche 914/6 con cui corse negli anni ’70, dopo una lunga carriera iniziata negli anni ’50 con la 1000 Miglia, la Targa Florio e la 1000km del Nurburgring; dopo la carriera agonistica Strähle è rimasto legato alla casa di Stoccarda come concessionario. 

 

 Il pilota tedesco ne ordinò una secondo i propri desideri, attingendo alla lunga lista di optional Exclusive come il roll-bar posteriore, i sedili a guscio, le cinture di sicurezza da corsa (mai usate) e l’eliminazione dei sedili posteriori.

 

 Dopo averla utilizzata per circa 8000 km, Strähle ha venduto l’auto a nuovi proprietari che l’hanno sempre custodita con attenzione, eseguendo sempre i tagliandi presso la rete ufficiale, come si evince dal libro tagliandi. Attualmente l’auto ha 47.000 chilometri ed è stata recentemente tagliandata. Viene consegnata con la dotazione completa di tutto, compresi i cerchi posteriori con canale ridotto, per poter montare gli pneumatici invernali.

 

 Quando fu presentata, la 996 Turbo era la Porsche di serie più veloce mai prodotta: 305 km/h e 420 cavalli scaricati a terra dalla ben collaudata trazione integrale. Per i collezionisti Porsche, questo è sicuramente uno dei più interessanti esemplari tra le 911 dell’era moderna.

This wonderful example of  911 Turbo (996) MY 2001 was built to the personal specifications Paul-Ernst Strähle, a former factory racing driver, as a unique sample. This Turbo was originally painted  “Gelb Orange”, specifically to match Strähle’s well-known old 914/6 GT that he raced in period. In the ’50 and ’60 he acheived many important victories such the 1000 Miglia, the Nürburgring 1000 km and the Targa Florio. Then he became an official Porsche dealer.

He chose many options among the items offered by Porsche Exclusive, as the roll cage, competition bucket seats, racing harnesses (which were never fitted) and had the rear seats deleted. 

Strähle put about 8,000 km on this Turbo. The car then passed through several other owners, but has been meticulously maintained from new, with its service booklet stamped at regular intervals, up to the current mileage: 47.000 kms. The car is complete of many all its original equipment, including the seat of rear wheels for winter tyres.

 

With blinding power and 305 km/h capability, this was the fastest street-legal automobile Porsche had ever produced, with 420 hp with the reliable all-wheel-drive transmission. It is for sure one of the most important and well preserve 911 of the modern hera.
