 (English text below)

Visibile previo appuntamento a Bologna. Presto foto dettagliate.

Rare Volvo 1800 E, injection engine, sold new in Italy the 2nd September 1971 in Venice, in the current colour combination, Safari yellow (available just for two years) with black interior.

The P1800 was conceived at the end of the 50s with an unusual and futuristic design, produced from 1961 up to 1973 with minimal upgrades: clearly the italian design by Carrozzeria Frua – where honestly used to work a swedish designer, in charge of the project – was the right one, suitable in each of the three decades of its life. Thanks to the TV series “The saint” were Roger Moore played the role of Simon Templar, the white P1800 became more and more polular.

This sample was purchased by the third owner in 2008 after a long period  when the car was abandoned. Finally the car was restored: body overhauled and resprayed, interiors partially preserved and partially new. Many componets were bought by Volvo Classic or by specialists as Skandix or VP Autoparts; new Bilstein shocks mounted, braking, electrical injection and heating systems were restored the exhaust is brand new, as the power steering system, Michelin XWX tyres and Minilite wheels. Engine and gearbox are checked and serviced.

The car mounts the overdrive as original option, that works perfectly. We are finishing the last works: the car will be delivered with documents and photos of the restoration.

The P1800 is an “outsider” car, with a reliable mechanics (the Guinness world record of the car with highest milage is the P1800), it could be used on the snow, for regularity races but even for everyday use.

It could be seen in Bologna by appointment. Soon detailed photos.
