 Daimler 2.5 V8 Saloon consegnata nuova a Como nel 1965 ed interamente restaurata dall'attuale proprietario circa 10 anni fa senza badare a spese: riverniciatura totale, ricromatura di tutti i fregi e componenti, cerchi nuovi, restauro dei legni interni presso specialisti inglesi, interno interamente in pelle, volante Motolita da 16" (oltre all'originale da 17"), cambio automatico interamente revisionato e meccanica interamente rivista.

 

L'auto si presenta nel classico Metallichrome Mountain Blue abbinato agli interni blu in pelle totale.

La Daimler 2.5 V8 è stata la prima Daimler basata su una monoscocca di origine Jaguar e l'ultima a montare un motore prodotto dalla piccola Casa britannica, acquisita dalla Jaguar nel 1960. Caratterizzata da finiture esterne ed interne di maggiore livello rispetto alla derivata Jaguar Mk2, l'auto aveva anche un maggiore confort di marcia grazie al pastoso 8 cilindri a V, più leggero e compatto del 6 cilindri Jaguar, abbinato al cambio automatico Borg-Warner. Il V8 con i suoi 142 cavalli, spendibili in assoluta souplesse, spinge la vettura fino a 180 km/h.

 The car we present is a Daimler 2.5 V8 Saloon delivered new to Como in 1965 and entirely restored by the current owner about 10 years ago without sparing any expense: total repainting, re-chroming of all decorations and components, new rims, restoration of the interior woodwork by English specialists, interior entirely overhauled in leather, 16" Motolita steering wheel (in addition to the original 17"), automatic gearbox renewed and completely revised mechanics.

 

The car is presented in the classic Opalescent Dark Blue combined with blue full leather interior.

The Daimler 2.5 V8 was the first Daimler based on a Jaguar monocoque and the last to mount an engine produced by the small British company, acquired by Jaguar in 1960. Characterized by external and internal higher quality finishes than the derivative Jaguar Mk2 , the car also had a greater ride comfort thanks to the doughy V-8 engine, lighter and more compact than the Jaguar 6-cylinder, combined with the Borg-Warner automatic gearbox. The V8 with its 142 horsepower, spendable in absolute souplesse, pushes the car up to 180 km/h.
