 Il colore fa la macchina? Talvolta sì. Come nel caso di questa Porsche 993 Carrera 2 consegnata a Zuffenhausen ad un dipendente (Sig. Solus) il 6 Luglio 1995.

L'auto è stata probabilmente utilizzata ad uso interno per provare nuovi colori in vista del nuovo modello 996 che sarebbe uscito un paio d'anni più tardi. Il Palladium Metallic (555) infatti non risulta in nessuna cartella colori 993 mentre era ordinabile sulla 996 dal 1997 al 2000.

Le uniche due 993 - di cui si ha conoscenza - verniciate in fabbrica con questo colore sono la presente che vi proponiamo ed 993 Turbo S con lo stesso abbinamento interno, entrambe probabilmente di qualche dirigente in quanto consegnate a Zuffenhausen. 

Questo colore è abbinato all'interno totalmente in pelle Chestnut - castagna - ed il risultato finale è senz'altro unico, ma soprattutto molto elegante.

Tra la fine del 2000 e l'inizio del 2001 da Stoccarda l'auto è andata a Iserlohn, venduta alla casa di produzione video tedesca Buschmedia che l'ha posseduta per un solo anno, prima di passarla al proprietario francese, vicino Calais, che l'ha avuta fino al 2010 anno in cui la 993 è arrivata in Italia. Da circa una decina d'anni l'auto è in mano a nostri clienti e conserva tutta la documentazione dei lavori svolti sin dal primo giorno: libro tagliandi e documentazione degli ultimi interventi eseguiti. L'auto ha attualmente percorso circa 177.000km (di cui circa la metà percorsi nei primi cinque anni quando era di proprietà di Porsche, da quanto si evince dal libro tagliandi).

Oltre alla manutenzione ordinaria, ecco ultimi interventi: revisione del cambio, sostituzione della frizione, controllo generale dell'impianto elettrico, omologazione e montaggio dei cerchi da 18" (i Cup 17" vengono consegnati assieme all'auto). Oltre ai cerchi, in epoca non conosciuta (forse nei primi anni in Fabbrica), è stato montato il Kit Sound con filtro d'aspirazione e terminali di scarico.

Iscritta ASI con certificato di rilevanza storica, l'auto ha appena compiuto 30 anni. Viene consegnata con tutto il corredo di primo equipaggiamento (libro tagliandi, portadocumenti, libretti, cric, doppie chiavi, attrezzi, compressore, ecc), cerchi da 17" ed è visibile previo appuntamento a Bologna.

 Do colors make cars? Sometimes, yes. It is the case of this Porsche 993 Carrera 2, delivered to an employee (Mr. Solus) in Zuffenhausen on July 6, 1995.

The car was likely used internally to test new colors for the new 996 model that would be released a couple of years later. Palladium Metallic (555) is not included in any 993 color chart, although it was available on the 996 from 1997 to 2000.

The only two 993s known to be factory-painted in this color are the one we're offering here and a 993 Turbo S with the same interior color, both likely owned by some executive, as both were delivered to Zuffenhausen.

 

This color is paired with the full Chestnut leather interior, and the final result is certainly unique, but above all, very elegant.

Between the end of 2000 and the beginning of 2001, the car went from Stuttgart to Iserlohn, where it was sold to the German video production company Buschmedia, which owned it for just one year before passing it on to its French owner near Calais, who owned it until 2010, the year the 993 arrived in Italy. The car has been in the hands of our customers for about ten years and retains all the documentation of the work carried out since day one: service book and documentation of the latest work performed. The car has currently traveled approximately 177,000 km (about half of which were driven in the first five years when it was owned by Porsche, according to the service book).

 

In addition to ordinary maintenance, recent work includes a gearbox overhaul, clutch replacement, a general electrical system check, and the homologation and installation of 18" wheels (17" Cups are delivered with the car). In addition to the wheels, a Sound Kit with intake filter and exhaust tips was installed at an unknown date (perhaps during the early years at the factory).

Homologated by ASI (Automoto club Storico Italiano), the car has just turned 30. It is delivered with all the original equipment (service book, documents pouch, manuals, jack, double keys, tools, compressor, etc.), 17" wheels, and can be viewed by appointment in Bologna.
