 Rara, tra le più rare. Ed è ancora più difficile trovarla con targa originale italiana. Sì perché la Fiat Panda 4x4 Val d'Isere - in questo caso con il doppio tetto apribile - non veniva commercializzata in Italia, ma soltanto importata da qualche concessionario che le acquistava dalla Svizzera o dalla Francia.

Tuttavia, questa Panda 4x4 è stata ordinata appositamente da un industriale della provincia di Cuneo in Francia e venne immatricolata nel Giugno del 1987 proprio a nome dell'azienda.

Finito il periodo di ammortamento l'auto è passata al nome del proprietario come persona fisica il quale l'ha conservata fino al 2016; quell'anno, la bianca Val d'Isere con il tetto apribile, abbastanza conosciuta nelle strade di Borgo San Dalmazzo, è passata di mano, sempre provincia cuneese a pochi passi dal paese natale del papà della Panda, il maestro Giorgetto Giugiaro.

Il raro optional del doppio tetto apribile, l'allestimento che non passa certo inosservato con i caratteristici adesivi blu, il grande bullbar anteriore, le griglie ai fanali posteriori, i codolini sui passaruota ed il tessuto nero a righe rosse dei sedili hanno colpito il terzo ed attuale proprietario (collezionista di Panda) che l'ha acquistata due anni fa e le ha regalato una sostanziosa "remise en forme", per rimanere nel clima d'oltralpe.

Gli interventi hanno riguardato la carrozzeria, con una rinfrescata totale dell'esterno ed una manutenzione approfondita che ha comportato la revisione del carburatore e dell'impianto di raffreddamento, dell'impianto frenante, della scatola guida e del cambio, assieme ad altri interventi. Sono infine stati montati i classici pneumatici Pirelli Winter previsti per la 4x4 come primo equipaggiamento.

Con una percorrenza inferiore ai 100.000km, questa Panda 4x4 Val d'Isere si presenta in ottime condizioni, ideale per essere utilizzata in campagna, al mare oppure - ovviamente - in montagna!

 Rare, among the rarest. And it's even harder to find one with original Italian license plates. Yes, because the Fiat Panda 4x4 Val d'Isere - in this case, with the double sunroof - wasn't sold officially in Italy, but only imported by a few dealers who purchased them from Switzerland or France.

 

However, this Panda 4x4 was specially ordered in France by an industrialist from the province of Cuneo and was registered in June 1987 in his company name.

After the depreciation period, the car was transferred to the owner as a private, who kept it until 2016; that year, the white Val d'Isere with the double sunroof, quite well known along the streets of Borgo San Dalmazzo, changed owner still in the province of Cuneo, a stone's throw from the birthplace of the Panda's father, maestro Giorgetto Giugiaro.

The rare optional double sunroof, the eye-catching trim with its distinctive blue stickers, large front bullbar, rear light grilles, wheel arch trims, and black fabric with red stripes on the seats, impressed the third and current owner (a Panda collector), who purchased it two years ago and gave it a substantial makeover.

 

The work involved the bodywork, with a complete exterior refresh and thorough maintenance that included overhauling the carburetor and cooling system, braking system, steering box, and gearbox, along with other work. Finally, the classic Pirelli Winter tires, intended for 4x4s as original equipment, were installed.

With less than 100,000 km on the odometer, this Panda 4x4 Val d'Isere is in excellent condition, ideal for use in the countryside, at the seaside, or - of course - in the mountains!
